July 12, 2022 — What sport really moves you and/or your crew? This summer, it seems cornhole is really gaining ground. Last summer, pickle ball was all the rage. Personally, I’m going to have to really work on my balance in Cardie Yoga if I ever hope to try standup paddleboarding (which, fortunately, I don’t 😬).
It was Cardie Kay Valentino who wrote us a couple of years ago now, “I love the cards that are exercise and activity related — yoga, hiking, camping, biking — because my entire extended family is very active. But then I love the cards that are associated with food and drink, too. My son, who is an athlete, loved the birthday beer card. He told me that I had really picked a winner!!”
Here on Miami Beach, I always love hearing the sporty suggestion from Contributing Cardie Sammy Sasson, “Want to go float in the ocean?” Haha, truth be told, Sammy is one of the most active people I know, and she’s also one of the most talented; she already has three images published on Passages cards.
For those who are always up for a lively game of card-sending, below you’ll see we’ve curated a collection of Sporty designs. It features everything from golf to baseball to soccer. You’ll more than likely find your loved ones’ favorites there and, if not, suggestions are always welcome. Whatever moves you, enjoy!

PS: Did you know cornhole is aiming to be an Olympic sport??? I’m putting this on my list of conversation topics for the next time Sammy and I are hours at sea. 😎

I am a year around lover of summer fun. Therefore, I love the cornhole card because it exemplifies simple summer memories. To celebrate that mindset, I just bought from OldNavy.com slouchy (AKA baggy) jeans that are called ‘Summer of love’. Such a FUN throwback to 1967 and perfect for a game of cornhole.
i was happy to see that card sending
is seen as a sport at cardthartic.
it is my favorite sport to participate in
and to watch as they slid into my mailbox.
is playing cards considered a sport ?
there are the years that ask questions
and the years that answer
