FEB 5, 2019 – I’ve been thinking that, in the coming days, I want to order a few more Valentine’s Day cards to be shipped from our Fulfillment Center in Illinois to me here in our Creative studio in south Florida while there’s still time — and that made me think, why not invite you to do the same?! Here’s what I have in mind …

We all have “givens” on our list of loved ones to whom we’ll mail or hand-deliver valentines. But what if we opened our eyes and hearts a little wider; who would we see? For me, there’s Nina, the 94-year-old bubbe in the building next door who calls once a week (at the crack of dawn, I might add, before she’s off to play bridge :) just to “check on” me. Since hearing that I tore an Achilles tendon last month, Nina’s upped her calls to every other day, and always signs off with the blessing, “May God make you again healthy, and keep you that way!”

My apartment building’s under-appreciated handyman, Hugo, could surely do with a bit more of my love in his life since it seems I’m always asking him to do this, that or something. And I’ll definitely include my great grocery delivery guy, Roberto, who does the schlepping so I can stick to writing. (We became acquainted after I applauded him for using an apostrophe in a “You’re welcome!” text he sent me. :)

Into some candy hearts cards I can write my own appreciative words to the above three, as well as to the PT who is so attentively tending to this mending tendon. Awh, the “feeling blessed” Little Reminders card shown below will be perfect for my friend Amparo’s adorable five-year-old granddaughter, Veronica, who just last week made me a most beauteous beaded necklace.

You get the idea! Let’s face it, Cardies, the world now needs us to be as open-hearted as we can possibly be. If you happen to find your heart expanding to include a few people you may not have otherwise, we’re happy to supply one of our more appreciative (rather than lovey-dovey) Valentine’s Day cards to you FREE on orders in by noon on Friday. No other purchase necessary. Love is all you need. (:-j
