February 10, 2023 – We have big Ohio State Buckeye fans Jennifer and Erik Bower to thank for drafting the year-round, fun birthday card message above. And it’s a sure bet they’ll be among the 100 million Americans huddled in front of a big screen come Sunday.
Sports fans that they are, this Contributing Cardie Couple composed our hockey card, too. Jennifer is the clever niece I’ve often written of, who married into that sport when she wed Erik. And that guy, well, he may not be a coach, but he sure has the heart of one! Last month he sent me a text that read, “Big Book 2023 arrived yesterday and I opened it this morning, saw our hockey card and smiled. I have today off and am waiting in the dentist’s office, just sitting here thinking about you and the Cardies and what you all have built. I am so proud of you and Cardthartic. Have a great day. Erik”
While there’s a lot in this world to divide us, isn’t it the passion for things like sports and cards that help us forge connections with family and friends?! It was the love of tennis that inspired our Marketing Director Jayme to craft gorgeous holiday wreaths out of used tennis balls for her league teammates. Next up: Pickle Ball Wreaths!
There are a whole lot of sports fans in this world and — especially in our Meanings of Life line — there’s an “I see you!” design for nearly every one. So here’s to “excessive celebration” Sunday, even if your sport is curling up with a good book.

I usually watch the commercials with more intensity than the game….hope they don’t disappoint… ( But then there’s always Monday morning) Would it be possible to get a 2023 catalog? Not only for me but I am trying to interest the owner of a flower/gift shop in carrying your line of cards . She doesn’t lcurrently have greeting cards but these would fit perfectly in the ambience of her shop. There is also a unique lunch area and coffee/teashop; customers tend to look around while waiting for their food/drinks/
Watched the game last night – it was exciting !!! and a great halftime show!!! Plus some awesome commercials!
