May 21, 2021 — A couple months ago, our founder Jodee floated the idea, “We work and push so long and hard all week, what if we plan to leave our desks Fridays at 1 PM and not come back?” (Not coincidentally, 1 PM eastern is the start time of yummy Restorative Friday! for those attending Cardie Yoga :-)

“And what if,” she wondered, “before we head out, we each take a few minutes to acknowledge all that we’ve accomplished.” Then she shared this great little Andrea Dworkin poem, and said she pulls a worn copy out of her desk drawer and reads it whenever she’s feeling, well, not enough. We share it with you now just in case you happen to be feeling that way today, or know someone who is.

Does the sun ask itself, “Am I good?
Am I worthwhile? Is there enough of me?”

No, it burns and it shines.
Does the sun ask itself,
“What does the moon think of me?
How does mars feel about me today?”

No, it burns, it shines.
“Am I as big as suns in other galaxies?”
No, it burns, it shines.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend of whatever fills you to the brim again.
