Card 93462 that reads Simply Thank You

NOV 05, 2019 – These few weeks leading up to Thanksgiving always remind me of why I created Cardthartic in the first place … to make meaningful alternatives to the generic cards often sold for these holidays. ‘Nothing against cornucopia or cartooned turkeys; we just feel there’s a better way(True Cardies can be quite card-ticular, so I know you know what I mean :) Maybe it’s just me but, more than wishing someone a happy Thanksgiving day, I send a card to express how much that person means to me every day. So I want a card more reflective of my feelings than one that is gimmicky.

As you well know, it’s very gratifying to sit and reflect on just how much the person you’re writing to enriches your life — to have The Cardthartic Experience, if you will. :) When I do that, I want a card that jump-starts my own penned message.

And because I’m generally a little nuts about the sweet people I send these giving-thanks cards to, I send a wee container of homemade candied pecans along. They take just 20 easy minutes to make, but are so, so good. And appreciated! I make a couple of batches each year, and take great pleasure from parking, pen in hand, honoring my emotions while they’re in the oven (the pecans, I mean, not my emotions ?

So, on the chance you’re looking for an additional little way to say, “I’m feeling grateful for you” this year, below you’ll find my candied pecans recipe. Oh, and here’s a link to the fun containers recipients always enjoy nearly as much as the pecans. Here’s hoping you feel very blessed indeed this coming Thanksgiving. I speak for everyone within Cardthartic when I say we are certainly very grateful to create cards for kind spirits like you.
