Oct. 16, 2020 — Here’s wishing a very restful and un-stressful weekend to you. To calm my own nerves and quiet my mind, once a week I go for what I’ve found to be an amazing antidote to worldy concerns: acupuncture. Practitioner Nancy Clark somehow recharges my battery and bolsters my immune system, along the way sharing new and old world wisdom like a living, breathing encyclopedia of self care. It’s wonderful.

This week, going in, I told Nancy that my head felt like a pinball machine, with all the anxious thoughts pinging around up there. Then, at the end of the session, I sighed, “Ahh, how to stay this serene way without a dozen tiny, well-placed needles in me?!” Nancy advised, “Keep doing what you’re doing — coming here, hosting Cardie Yoga, petting your dog, baking those little loaves of lemon blueberry bread you so love sending off in care packages, and maybe spend more time meditating or praying.” Then she summed up so beautifully,

“Now is a time when we all need to do
everything possible to soothe our souls.”

Below you’ll see our plans for a restorative weekend. If you’d kindly care to share, we’d love to read some of YOUR self-soothing ways, Cardies.
