SEP 4, 2019 – You may not know someone in The Bahamas. You may not know someone in Odessa. Or El Paso or Dayton. But you know someone who could use your arms around them today. And as one Cardie beautifully put it, “Receiving a Cardthartic card feels like receiving a virtual hug.”
What if we all get our good caring energy moving, send a lot of those virtual hugs and, together, help fund the emotional support services the American Red Cross provides in times like these. Half of what you spend on support & encouragement cards between now and Thursday, Sept 12th will be donated to the Red Cross Disaster Mental Health and Spiritual Care teams.
Because our last few Cardie Newsletters focused on supportive cards, we hesitated to do so again when there are countess joyful card-sending occasions happening in the world. But (a) the world seems to need this from all of us now and (b) knowing about the kind things so many of you do, we would not be at all surprised to learn that some of our Cardies are Red Cross volunteers!
In any case, in whatever supportive cards you choose to buy and send, you might let your loved ones know that — by purchasing the card with their well-being in mind — you have set some wonderful karma in motion for them. Onward, to happier days.

Thankyou for recognizing the heartache so many people are experiencing right now.somehow we need to come together as a country again,
My first card will go to EVERYONE at Cardthartic for being YOU: kind, caring, nonjudgmental, funny, thoughtful ….. Your cards make it easy for us all to share these human feelings during difficult times. And you say it so much better than I can. I see the brunt of Hurricane Dorian has skipped Miami and I am grateful….but what about all the others in its wake? Thank you for thinking of all.
Acts of kindness support us which helps us to continue to be strong for the battles we fight and win. Love you Cardthartic for doing your big part in many acts of kindness such as this most recent one.
