December 07, 2021 — It seems that the more we do and the busier we get, the harder true connection is to come by. Today we want to share a few short and sweet examples of how simple interactions can mean so much more when we offer a bit of ourselves along the way.

You may remember that, in last Friday’s Cardie Newsletter, we wrote about how a former Cardthartic sales rep had reached out to tell us that so many of the card and gift manufacturers she now represents are still waiting for product made overseas … the stores she services are experiencing shortages. For the greater good, she had taken the high road and devoted the time and energy to encourage us — her competitor for shelf space in those stores! — to assure our customers that all our products are American-made, so are in stock and ready to ship out the next business day.

Soon after reading this, Cardie Judy Cortner put it beautifully when she emailed:

i loved the last newsletter
i love how people, in this case a former rep,
“look out” for cardthartic.
as i see it, that is because
cardthartic looks out for people!

it takes a village for a lot of things,
not just raising children.
it is the “looking out” for each other,
wanting others to be successful,
to feel they are not alone, to encourage
them to see their higher self etc etc.

Days later, kind Cardie Roxann Hassett ordered five boxes of Tree of Life note cards

to be shipped directly to a friend. At checkout, in the Order Instructions, she let her Fairy Cardmother know that the cards were to be a gift and asked that a personal message be enclosed. When we followed up to let Roxann know that her Fairy Cardmother had penned her words in one of our Stay Safe, Happy & Well note cards, we asked Roxann’s permission to share her idea here in case other cardies wanted their Fairy Cardmothers to do the same through the holidays. Roxann replied right away saying, “I would be honored for you to share this with the cardie community! 😊”

So, thanks to Roxann, adding a personal note from you is a service your own Fairy Cardmother will lovingly provide at no charge. Just please be aware that the gift of cards, boxed notes, art prints, and magnets you order to be sent directly to others won’t be gift-wrapped, per se, but will arrive swaddled in forest green tissue much like how your own Cardthartic orders arrive. And your personal message, like Roxann’s, will be written in the same Stay Safe, Happy & Well note cards. (Sorry, our small company is not yet set up to customize beyond this one card choice but, hey, it beats your gift recipients trying in vain to figure out “Who is this from?!” when gifts come via Amazon. 🙃)

Bigger picture, how wonderful is it that we are in this amazing circle of kindred spirits like our former rep and Judy and Roxann, all so caring, all adding to the endless connection we have with family and dear friends. So glad you’re among us!
