DEC 07, 2017 – Can you relate? At Cardthartic, we’re high-tailing it to complete key projects before the end of the year, and suspect many of you are doing the same. We just sent off to the printer 60 new designs for release come January, and are now in the throes of completing our 88-page Big Book (aka sales catalog) filled with every design we make along with dozens of backstories on how various cards came to be. Whew. Almost there!At 11 last night, I sent this e to our CAO Ana Behm, who I suspected was similarly nose-to-the-grindstone. “I just went to the freezer for more Oreos and discovered the little leftover container of yummy corn & green bean casserole I squirreled away at Thanksgiving! But the lid was stuck on so tight that I had to put my all into pulling it off and damned if, when the lid finally gave way and flew across the room, that frozen corn & green bean hockey puck didn’t slip out and go flying, too! And, yes, I snatched it up and it’s now on defrost in the microwave.”
This morning I saw AnaB’s response from 4:17 AM, “Hahahahaha. At the office late yesterday afternoon, I was about to raid someone’s stash in the refrigerator and thought, ‘Why would I eat junk here when I have more delicious junk at home?’ And left early ?”
When they know I’m feeling the pressure, friends and colleagues will ask, “So, what card would you choose to soothe yourself today?” It would be one of those below. Though I’d make sure that, in it, I slipped in a little Ghirardelli mint chocolate square and our Wildflowers magnet. To you and anyone else who could use a little pick-me-up about now: Keep on!

PS: And don’t even start with, “Why, when you guys have so much else to do, would you take time to create this eblast?!?” ‘Took all of 20 minutes and we’re allllways up for you. It’s you who keep us in cookies and casseroles, after all! :)
