December 13, 2022 — How sweet is this … the thoughtful man who leads our Fulfillment team, Ryan Springman, emailed to say, “Browsing Facebook last night, I came across this post by a long-time friend. I thought immediately of all the Cardies across the country, and wondered if maybe they could work their magic? If not, I understand.”
We thought, “If Ryan can play Santa’s Helper, so can we!” and asked him to learn more about how young Justice and Jatavion Berg came to wish for Christmas cards. Mom Angelina explained, “During the Pandemic, for each of the kids’ birthdays, I reached out to family and friends and organized a card shower. Both of them LOVED receiving all the cards and then learning more about who sent each one from where.
“Fast forward to my asking them what they wanted for Christmas this year and they told me, ‘Cards!’ When I asked, ‘Why cards?’ Justice, 12, said that she feels like she already has a lot and, to her, Christmas is more about people than it is about gifts. Jatavion, 11, tells me he just never gets mail, so he wants some. So I posted to my FB to see if I could get some cards sent to them.
“They received their first cards yesterday and it was awesome. Their faces lit up!”
Can I tell you, Cardies, the first thing I thought when reading Ryan’s request was how our beloved Cardie Oma Hannlis would have jumped on this! So, for her and me, I’ll send two cards each to Jatavion and Justice. And maybe drop in a sprinkling of sand straight from Miami Beach!

Hey, maybe we should each enclose a magnet and really blow the kids’ minds! 😆 Enjoy this season of giving.

I’m in! I will ask my sisters in Spain and Norway to see if they want to participate. How fun!
Any chance you can have some cards made to thank organ donors? I think that this would be a great addition to your your line. Thank you!
This is great! Will get right on it!
First, I must admit, I’m not much of a kid person (pausing for all the automatic shaming that follows that statement). But, kids that want cards as gifts…rather than gift cards?!? Count me in!
Done! Sending a
card to each. Merry Christmas, Justice and Jatavion!
