The very gracious and eloquent Mary Pat Rossi astounded and humbled us by emailing in late January of 2022, “I have been fed by your emails and able to bless others with your cards. Who are you that you are able to have your finger on the pulse of the people?! What gifts has God blessed you with that you are able to bind together the hearts of so many?”
MP went on to explain, “I work at St. Catherine of Siena church in DuBois, Pennsylvania, as Office Manager, and I also lead our Music Ministry. My coworker, Mary Ann Nicholls, follows Cardthartic as I do. We so wish we could meet your staff to listen and share what it is that makes you so amazing. God has truly blessed you with an ability to touch hearts and grow a community. If you ever consider a gathering of folks to share ideas so we can feed each other, Mary Ann and I will be there!”
Jodee replied, “Wow, Mary Pat, what a lovely message. Much appreciated and taken to heart!” Then she shared that she often uses the old adage, “Our talents are our gifts from God. What we do with them is our gift to God,” as it was clear Mary Pat would concur. After a flurry of fun emails flying back and forth, Mary Pat and Mary Ann began looking at their calendars for a Cardie Road Trip, Miami-bound!
A few weeks after MP’s first email, she wrote again. “LOOK what I found!
While attending an Irish Festival ☘️ in Lancaster, my sister and I were walking the streets of quaint Litiz, went into a great boutique called Tiger’s Eye, and LOOK what I found!!! I was so dang excited! Cardthartic is spreading love everywhere!!!”
As all supercardies do, Mary Pat shows and shares the many wonderful sides to her. The day Russia invaded Ukraine, she emailed us, “As our hearts ache for the people in Ukraine, your cards are needed more than ever to share the love. God is weeping with us. May we be people of hope and peace. May God be with those who weep and mourn.💔”
